hello darlings, greetings from New York!!! it's our fourth day here and we have spent 2 days lazing around at home. we are such bummers but there's no rush as we are gonna be here for the whole friggin month. i should have book my return tix a week earlier than when we are gonna leave this place as it's gonna be my mother's 50th birthday but there's no way i can change my dates. dammit!
so the whole of today was spent buying groceries for tonight's independence day party at home, me cooking mash potatoes and ekka making us a mega yummy burger for lunch! it's 5.38pm now and im bored. everyone's asleep back in singapore. :(
everyone back at home has been asking me what have i bought so far..but believe it or not..me and ekka have yet to buy anything. not completely nothing but almost nothing. its rather shocking actually cause i expected myself to shop till i drop. we went to SOHO again yesterday where the streets are filled with brands like f21, H&M, Topshop, Victoria's Secret etc. To my disappointment, we didnt get anything at all. it came to a point that i wanted to buy something just for the sake of buying! it didnt feel good to be shopping for so many hours but nothing in return. but i guess that's a good thing too, since im really tight in budget!
another note, all the clothes found at these shops are hugeeeeeeeeee in size. its almost impossible to find a size S or it would be in the last piece. and the accessories i bought on SALE from H&M during my last visit in HK were selling in full price here. i was so shock to see that! seems like H&M in HK has better collections of accessories and cothes too. i totally didnt expect this.
to be honest, me and ekka are kinda bored here already and we feel like total losers to be feeling this way. this isnt what we expected to be. all the hype for nothing. but we have yet to make a trip down to statue of liberty, outlet shops etc. so hopefully, our moods will have a drastic change soon! hahah. so much walking to be done here. our legs are aching everyday. so much for bringing nice heels to wear here! lol. cab fares cost more than 40USD to go home when its jus 2 train station away. that made me miss being in singapore.
alright, this is getting too lengthy but this is an update for my favourite people back in Singapore. miss you guys <3
p/s : i still cant get over it that i didnt bring my jacket, belt, necklaces, rings, flats, stockings, any bottoms. i really suck at packing. i will never pack last minute again! :( this also means that i've to buy the above items for my stay here.
oohh!! and i thought that im on the right track for not spending during these 4 days here in NY, but guess what? me and ekka have spent a total of $870!!!! omfg!! all on groceries, one prepaid sim card, train tickets and small stuff. omfg! im freaking out! =/
off to buy more groceries for tonight! (we havent even been dining out much!) ~$~

ah shit and youre there in the summer where its not depressing and cold.
im going there in december where it'd be lots of snow and slush and depressing weather.

Well, you could head to Boston where things arent that expensive. Take Greyhound, though its a little sketchy haha
Greyhound? I'm stayin at my friends place. What can I see At boston besides all the uni there? It's boring here cAuse I need to get a train to places and I'm so lazy. I'm eating all the time right now.imagine during winter,will prob eat even more to keep myself warm n I wld prob be even lazier to get a train n walk ard.but At least u get to wear stylish trench coats.
haha awwwwww i miss new york!!! where are you living? yeah new york is all about walking walking and more walking. that time i walked until i want to die. theres so much things to do in new york!! go to the met art museum, its free and its super nice! and the trip to statue of liberty is free too. and the woodsbury outlet!! got chanel outlet there haha.
I'm gg woodsbury tmr.excited!!but it is a 2hr drive.how did u go there n did u buy lots of stuff there?I hv been to NY When I wAs 12yrs old but def gg back to those places again as it's ekk's first time. I hate having to walk so much n the need of takin a train insteAd of being able to drive Around
hey u r in NY hope u r having fun there. I know how u feels about walking and walking and can't take cab around!! must take train and bus =(( bored right?? now I'm in UK and I'm feeling the same as u haha.
hey bew, just checked out your pics that paul posted on fb! nice pictures there. did you use a professional camera? so u r still in UK? how long u gona be there for? yea i have been walking and walkin so much! i think u have nicer buildings to see when u walk tho! hv fun! <3

we use the normal cam haha it's lumix one. I think the cam is quite good =D anw I will be in London till end of august cos I'm taking a summer course here for a month. But now I'm kind of bored already. Wanna go back BKK =P
oh what summer course did you take? why are u bored when u have your sister with you right? im kinda bored here in NY as im so dependant of having a car back in spore. argh! are u goin back bkk next mth? | |
