Got back from Bangkok on Sunday night. Me, Ekka, Pat & Maki booked a jetstar flight not too long ago, not realising our schedule got clashed once it got nearer. in the end, all of us had to buy a new ticket to fly there and forfeit our departure ticket. so expensive. add it all up, and we paid for an SQ tix each. Pat and I bought a new tix from tiger airlines and it was our first time departing from the budget terminal. flight was really bad and dirty. all the cloth seats were stained. ewww. jetstar is so much better. when we got there, the 2 of us took a long long nap till evening before we went out for dinner along the streets. as my hp had no battery, i didnt bring along to bangkok, thinking that pat's blackberry would be more than enough. only late at night did we realise her hp has no auto-roming and we were both uncontactable!! how silly!!
my parents flew over the next day and we couldnt contact each other till late afternoon. then the following day, ekka and Maki flew over together to meet us at night. EKka's youngest brother from bkk also came to join us.
shopping was great!!! i went crazy with my all time favourite trends since many many years ago. all along, i have this strong fetish for studs, lace, fringe and sequins! bangkok is also not as cheap as before too. many years ago everything was 199 baht, now its 290 baht and the nicer piece can be a few thousand baht! bargaining does not help much too but since we are already there, we just have to spend it all!! bought tons of stuff that were so my kind of style unlike in the US, where everything was so expensive and i was just buying for the sake of buying.
it was also raining on certain days and the streets were flooding with dirty water. it was so gross. anyway, when we were at chatuchak market, ekka received a phone call from his bro back in spore and we didnt have the mood to continue shopping around, thus, we didnt cover much. . .
today, ekka went to collect his new car of 3 months and look how badly crashed it was. =/
doubt insurance can claim and he would have to spend thousand of dollar to repair it
but to me, all that matters is the 2 people in the car is safe and has been discharged out of hospital.
if you are curious to know what happened, ek's bro drove his friends home after clubbing and he felt really tired. he set his car mode to cruise control (where you dont have to step anymore and where i always say 'look ma! no hands/feet!') and he doze off and knock into a lorry and then into a curb. his best friend was dead drunk at the back of the car. all the cabs were not willing to send him home as they were afraid he might vomit in their cabs. damm those taxi. whats the point of picking customers up at clubbing area then?!!! so the drunk guy was sent to the hospital and he was in coma but thank god he woke up 2 days later. this sounds like the movie 'the hangover!'
so everyone out there, do drive carefully always!! </3

yea but still got court case to settle the accident as he might be charged under drink driving? not sure about that. he failed the first test but pass the second one
Oh no, scary! I hit a curb lightly once and was already like traumatized :S And oooooh show us what you bought in BKK! I've never been there, so terrible I know. Its always better to have a local to bring you around to places most foreigners wont know where to find a good bargain or better meals too! Haha.

omg you'll go insaneeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee if you shop at bkk. cause everything is so cheap as compared to spore. you might jus end up buying everything cause its cheap but control girl, and save!! hahahaha
